A while ago, I wrote a four part series on blogging. In the final post of the series, I sought to emphasize the fact that we must exercise great self-control in our writing, lest we become to quick to speak and unneccesarily wound others. Justin Taylor recently posted a lengthy quote from C.S. Lewis that also cautions us to give great care in our writing, especially when it involves criticism. It is well worth the read.
Let’s give ourselves to much thinking and prayerful reflection as we post our articles.
The heart of the righteous ponders how to answer, but the heart of the wicked pours out evil things.-Proverbs 15:28

Great reminder! Words are extremely powerful.
Thanks!
Derek – I saw that quote from Lewis on Taylor’s blog. Very insightful.
Very wise counsel, especially for someone who’s just beginning this world of “bloggerings”.
Good to hear from you Derek. I would here of your name tossed here and there, even from a few guys in the dorm (the Blakeys, Brad Smith etc) and I’ll just have this sigh of “Aw…Derek Brown” then I smile. Now, I’m glad to have a way to actually keep in touch.
Ya, you should hear chapel band today, they’re all hip hopped out =)
